A Unique View of Nature
This painting offers a special perspective on nature seen through the window of my childhood home. It blends two worlds: the real, personal space of my room—represented by the green shutter of my bedroom window—and the outer world where nature unfolds, seen from a unique vantage point.
Inspiration and Interpretation
The field of flowers is inspired by a photograph I once took, but I gave it my own personal, original interpretation. What caught my eye most was the angle of the photo and the seemingly endless horizon it captured.
Creating Depth and Continuity
To evoke a sense of continuity from the flower field toward the horizon, I painted the flowers as color patches that extend deeply into the painting and gradually fade as they meet the illuminated sky.
Two Dimensions, Two Perspectives
When I finished the painting, I noticed something intriguing: this view through the window creates two dimensions and a dual perspective—the outward gaze from an inner space to the outside world, and simultaneously, a reflection from the outside looking back inward.
