Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services and products offered by Sharon's Art. For the purposes of this agreement, “Sharon’s Art” refers to the art business solely owned and operated by Sharon Turbiner Perry, an independent artist.
Welcome to Sharon’s Art.
Here, visitors can explore a collection of original paintings created by Sharon with great care, attention to detail, and premium materials. Some of these artworks have already been sold, donated, or are part of Sharon’s personal collection, while others remain available for purchase.
What makes Sharon’s work unique is her ability to create fully personalized pieces — original paintings tailored to a client’s individual vision. The website serves as a showcase of her work and as a first step for those wishing to commission a custom creation. The process begins when a potential client contacts Sharon directly. She will then reach out personally to discuss the idea, understand the requirements, and, when ready, provide an official order form to document all details.
Each artwork can be customized to fit seamlessly into any setting — from living rooms, dining areas, and bedrooms to offices and other professional spaces.
If a painting in the gallery inspires you but you would prefer a different size, format (horizontal, vertical, or square), or color scheme, Sharon can create a bespoke version to suit your preferences.
In addition to the standard customization options — style, category, colors, format, dimensions, size, and side finish — clients are encouraged to share any other details that may help bring the vision to life, such as:
- Highlighting or emphasizing specific colors
- Incorporating sketching or drawing techniques alongside painting
- Describing the room’s color palette where the piece will be displayed
- Sharing information about furniture or décor for harmony with the space
- Any other preferences Sharon should consider
Once Sharon receives your request, she will personally follow up with all necessary details and work with you to create a painting that is truly one-of-a-kind.
Whether a client is looking for a small piece to enhance a cozy corner or a large statement artwork, Sharon creates paintings that fit each vision beautifully. A range of sizes is available, with flexibility to accommodate specific requests and preferences. All sizes can be produced in both vertical and horizontal formats.
Small
📏 Sizes: 30×30, 35×50, 40×40, 45×45, 30×50, 40×50 cm
💵 Starting from: $279
Medium
📏 Sizes: 30×60, 50×50, 50×70, 60×90, 60×60, 70×70 cm
💵 Starting from: $529
Large
📏 Sizes: 70×100, 100×100, 90×120, 150×200, 80×80, 90×90 cm
💵 Starting from: $949
Sizes can be adjusted based on the client’s request and the painting categories offered. Custom dimensions can be discussed directly with Sharon during the initial contact, before the order form is sent. Once details are agreed upon, Sharon will provide the order form to confirm and proceed.
If a client is unsure which size best suits their space, Sharon is happy to provide guidance during the consultation.
Once a user contacts Sharon with their initial inquiry or request, Sharon will personally reach out to discuss the details of the desired artwork.
Following this conversation, Sharon will send an official order form for the user to complete. This form is for legal and record-keeping purposes and is not available for direct download or filling on the website.
After receiving the completed order form, the user has up to 48 hours to request any changes or clarifications.
Upon finalizing the order details, Sharon will create a colored sketch of the requested painting on paper or Bristol paper. This sketch serves to provide a clearer, more tangible preview of the custom piece. The sketch is typically delivered approximately two weeks after the order details have been confirmed.
At this stage, the user may request adjustments such as emphasizing specific colors, altering details, or modifying the size. However, please note that only one detailed sketch will be created due to the time-intensive nature of this step.
Once the user approves the sketch and all final details, Sharon will proceed to paint the artwork. While every effort is made to follow the user’s requests closely, the final painting may differ slightly from the sketch. This is because the sketch is made with softer materials like colored pencils, pastels, or chalks, whereas the final artwork is painted with vibrant, glossy acrylic paints, often including rich textures that may not be fully captured in the sketch.
Users will receive an estimated completion date for the painting as well as an expected delivery timeline.
All paintings are created using high-quality acrylic paints on premium canvas, stretched over a sturdy wooden frame that is ready to hang. Each finished piece is coated with a thin layer of clear varnish to protect it from dust and preserve color vibrancy for many years. While framing is not required, users may choose to add a frame independently after receiving their painting.
Payment for the painting will be divided into two parts:
- After confirming the order — both through initial contact and subsequent communication via phone or email — the user will pay one-third (1/3) of the total painting cost.
- After approving the final sketch, including any last adjustments made during the sketch presentation, the user will pay the remaining two-thirds (2/3), completing full payment for the painting.
Once the painting is complete, Sharon will carefully package it and send it to the user. Delivery will be either by personal delivery from Sharon or via a professional courier service. No delivery fee will be charged for deliveries within Israel.
For international shipping:
If the painting needs to be shipped abroad (outside of Israel), shipping fees will apply based on the destination country, size of the painting, and shipping method.
Sharon will provide the exact shipping cost when finalizing the order and will ensure the painting is securely packaged for international delivery.
Customs:
For international orders, please note that the painting may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees upon arrival in the destination country. These charges are determined by the customs authorities and are beyond Sharon’s control. If any customs duties, taxes, or fees must be paid to release the item from customs, it is the user’s responsibility to cover these costs. Sharon cannot predict or influence specific charges, as they vary widely depending on each country’s laws and regulations. Failure to pay the required customs fees may result in delays, returns, or forfeiture of the package. Sharon is not responsible for any additional charges or consequences related to customs processing. By placing an order, the user acknowledges and accepts responsibility for any customs charges incurred to release the painting in their country.
At Sharon’s Art, each painting is created with great care, attention, and dedication to match the user’s personal request.
Because the artwork is fully customized, refunds are available only in the specific cases outlined below:
1. In case of damage during shipping:
If the painting arrives damaged, the user should contact Sharon as soon as possible.
The user may then choose between the following options:
- A full refund for the painting.
- A replacement — Sharon will create the same painting again at no additional cost.
2. In case of dissatisfaction with the painting:
Since the painting is a personalized, hand-made artwork based on a detailed order approved by the user — including the sketch and final details — refunds are not available for dissatisfaction.
Please understand:
- A sketch is created and approved by the user before the final painting begins.
- The final painting may have natural artistic variations compared to the sketch.
- Differences in texture, brushwork, color depth, and the vividness of acrylic paints compared to lighter sketching materials (such as pastels, pencils, or chalk) are a normal part of the creative process.
- As stated during the ordering process, slight differences between digital images and the final painting are normal due to lighting, photography, and screen displays.
For these reasons, once the artwork is completed and matches the approved order, no refunds will be given based on personal preference or a change of mind.
Thank you for your understanding and trust in the artistic process and in Sharon’s Art!
Sharon understands that circumstances can change, and a user may need to cancel an order. In such cases, it is important to contact Sharon as soon as possible to maximize the refund amount. To ensure fairness, the following cancellation policy applies based on the stage of the artwork’s creation:
- Before Work Begins: If the artwork process has not yet started and a cancellation is requested, a full refund of any payments made will be provided.
- After Work Begins: Once work has started (including the creation of a sketch or the beginning of painting), cancellations will be handled based on the progress made. At this stage, a partial refund may be offered, depending on the progress and materials used up until that point. Sharon will keep the user updated on the status of the order, and the refund amount will be adjusted accordingly. Please understand that once significant progress has been made — including time and materials spent — a full refund is no longer available, as the artistic process is underway.
